My sister and her boyfriend bought us the Guitar Hero - World Tour interactive musical game for Christmas. You get to play the drums, guitar or become the singer. This present is awesome, you have to watch the video I have recorded of us playing.
2008 has passed by very quick, tomorrow is new year’s eve and we are going to party like it’s 1999 NOT. Tomorrow afternoon my young brother in law is going back to Singapore and in the evening my mother has organised Karaoke at Utopia for the entire family. Times flies very quick these couple of days, this weekend my sister and her boyfriend is going back to Sydney and next week Fiona and I will be going back to work.
This years 2008 Christmas wasn’t as exciting because there wasn’t enough time to organise anything, but we still bought gifts for everyone. The Christmas tree wasn’t taken out this year because it was burry underneath a lot of boxes in the garage, so instead we use my Gym as a tree and I decorated it with lights.
End of year sale has started, Fiona and her family bought a lot of things and myself I bought a 500MB portable hard drive for $99 and I got Fiona a copy of Loco Roco PSP game for $4 from Dick Smith Electronics.
The couple weeks I have been totally busy with many things and right now I am so exhausted. I haven’t been sleeping that well at night and during the day I feel extremely tired.
Two weeks ago my mum was involved in a serious car accident, her car was hit by an incoming car and she was injured. Mum got a broken wrist and brusing around her body, she was sent straight to Fremantle Hospital ER. I didn’t get the news about mum’s accident until 7pm in the evening from my mum’s friend who attend the scene. Mum had to stay at the hospital for 3 days to get an operation to correct her broken wrist. Mum is doing pretty well right now and she is recovering very quick.
Everyone is coming to Perth for the Christmas Holiday, my sister’s boyfriend Moudi has arrived today and in a few days from today my mother and brother in-law will be here too. We haven’t seen them for at least a year now.
I have been fixing some small things around the house so that it’s presentable when everyone is here to stay with us. Finally got my lawn mowed a few days ago and cleaned up the house a bit.
Well I am officially on annual leave today till 5th January 2009.
Meet The Family is not movie sorry. It’s the title for this blog that I am going to write about my sister’s boyfriend Korosh Mahmoudi who came to Perth on business trip for Bankwest. So Korosh came on Tuesday morning from Sydney so Mandy asked the family to meet up with him and take him out to dinner. So on Wednesday 26th November Mum and us took him to Utopia the vegetarian restaurant in Northbridge for dinner, and then on the Thursday 27th November Dad and us took him to Cinnamon On A Park Indian restaurant for dinner and desert at Icey Ice. Everyone got to know him very well, unfortunately he has to go back to Sydney on Friday 28th November. But he will be back in with Mandy during the Christmas Holidays.
Recently I have bought two accessories for my iPhone 3G from eBay and it was a bargain!
Synchronising and charging cradle that will allow my to sit my iPhone nicely on it and charge and sync through my computer’s USB port. One thing I didn’t like about it when I received the item was that it was in kinda filthy condition with some faint scratches and dirt. I messaged the seller and got a partial refund from them.
Belkin’s sports arm band made of a light weight flexible neoprene material, a Velcro closure, small pocket to keep your keys inside, and a transparent screen protector. I am pleased with the condition of the item when I received it, it was still inside the original box brand new. But I think this sports arm band was originally designed for the iPhone 1st Generation, but I can still use it with the 3G version.
Christmas is coming soon, and we have few people coming to Perth to visit and stay with us. My sister and her boyfriend, my mother and brother in-law. There is going to be a lot of preparation around the house, I need to clean up the garden, get additional portable air conditioner for the guest room because December is getting really hot. I need to buy a foldable sofa bed chair or futon for an extra person to sleep on.
It’s always good to have people and family around the house during this Christmas holiday so that we can have a Christmas party and steam boat. I guess we need to start doing our Christmas shopping now, and we get to play our Christmas CDs ho ho ho!.
The time now is 12:42am 15th November and we suppose to pickup Meimei and Mimo from Jet Pets at 12am, but when we arrive there the person told us that the flight arrival has been delayed till 1:25am.
So Mum, Fiona, and I when to Macca’s drive thru to buy coffees and fries. Now we went back to Mum’s place to wait.

We have decided to go with laminate flooring for the whole house, because solid timber and bamboo is going to break our budget. So this few days we looked at two German brands Kronotex and Parador, first we looked at Kronotex Dynamic range and we like Chateau Beech out of that range. Second time we went and look at the Parador Laminate Flooring Classic 1030 range and we loved the Cocobolo Light because of the look of the texture. So at the moment we are waiting for some quotes from the retailer, but most likely we will go with Parador brand.
Chateau Beech (Kronotex)
Cocobolo Light with Fine Grain Wide Plank (Parador)

Mum is back from here holiday in Sydney and the two weeks was an enjoyful time for her. She gets to spend a lot of time with Mandy while she there, Mandy took her shopping and site seeing. Mum even met her boyfriends’s family and made vegetarian dinner for the boyfriend’s mum. Mum met up and spent some time with her Sydney friend too.
I am happy to hear that the holiday turn out excellent. Mum took these photos with the new digital camera I bought for her and I compiled it to a video today, and made a DVD for mum to take home and uploaded a streaming video version that you are watching right now.
Tonight we celebrated my cousin Johnny’s 26th birthday at a vegetarian restaurant in Northbridge Sri Melaka. I wore a pink coloured collar shirt tonight but didn’t realise it was the Gay and Lesbian parade in Northbridge, but hey at least I dressed up for the occasion. There was road block in every corner of Northbridge, we couldn’t find any parking on the streets so we parked our car at the paid car park area.
